LOANS have become easier to get, and the amount that an average consumer owes credit card companies here has increased steadily over the last three years from S$4,292 in May 2008 to S$4,632 in May 2011.
But people need to learn to manage their debt better.
We speak to Ms Tan Huey Min, general manager of Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS), a charity that promotes financial literacy and helps people solve their debt problems.
